Short Interest Extremes

This box shows how extreme the current level of short interest is versus the stock’s own history, as well as the current DTC, Percentage of FreeFloat on loan, Cost to Borrow and On Loan Value.

PERCENTILE
A percentile of 100 means that the stock currently has the highest level of short interest in its history. 0 means it has the lowest.

DTC
Days to cover; How many days volume the current shares on loan equates to. Note average daily volume is based average 3-month daily volume for the given security across exchanges.

FREE FLOAT on LOAN
The percentage of the companies free float that is currently out on loan.

COST TO BORROW
The average annualised % of interest on loans from Prime brokers to their clients, i.e hedge funds.

ON LOAN VALUE
The total current value of the shares on loan in USD.
